At Carpets by Chris Stretching & Repair, we provide honest pricing and high-quality workmanship on every job. Most projects fall within our minimum service charge, and we offer accurate photo estimates before scheduling.

Carpet Stretching Prices

Minimum Service Charge — $285.00
Includes up to 300 sq. ft. of stretching.

Additional Square Footage:
$0.83 per sq. ft. beyond 300 sq. ft.

Cutting & Re-Seaming (doorways / hallways):
$26.00 per linear foot.

Stretching Efficiency:
We typically stretch around 300 sq. ft. per hour.

Lifetime Warranty: All stretching includes our Lifetime Guarantee.

Carpet Repair Pricing

Minimum Service Charge — $285.00
Covers the first hour of repair work, including most carpet patches, burns, tears, pet damage repairs, transitions, and seam repairs.

Additional Time:
$200.00 per hour, prorated to the minute.

Important Repair Notes

Donor Carpet (Closet Patch Option)

If no matching scrap is available, we may remove a donor piece from a closet and replace it with a scrap section at no extra charge, as long as matching is not important.

If you want the closet patch to match more closely, you may provide a carpet remnant from a flooring store.

Additional Time for Closet Replacement

Removing carpet from a closet and installing a donor piece back into the closet requires additional time, billed at our prorated hourly rate.

Repair Visibility

The final result depends on donor match quality, fading, wear patterns, lighting, and carpet age. Severely faded or worn carpet may remain noticeable. Not all damage can be repaired invisibly.

Stronger Seams Than Original Installation

We use a professional $500 radio-wave seam iron that creates a stronger bond than the standard irons used in most installations.
